LA CROIX DE FER - ART SPACE FACTORY 
The Malmenayde Fenerol stationery factory, later known as the Bizet Pradel cutlery and Wichard forge, holds a rich history. The factory, also known as the Croix de Fer factory, was initially certified as a paper mill in 1836 and continued this activity until the 1880s. Later, it underwent significant architectural changes to accommodate its transformation into a cutlery. As part of these changes, the existing paper drying racks on the upper levels of the buildings were demolished.
At the time, the site comprised of a main workshop, accommodation (timber-framed buildings), and a small French-style garden with a fountain. In 1919, the Wichard company took over the factory, and it was remodeled several times to manufacture varioIn 2010, the factory was acquired by Di-Hello, an aerial dance company, which sold it in 2020 to a private cultural entrepreneur. The space was renamed as the Center for Contemporary Artistic and Cultural Practices (CPACC) - La Croix de Iron. Despite the many changes, the site's rich history remains an integral part of its identity, and its evolution over time reflects the changing needs and priorities of the region.​​​​​​​us parts by stamping (scissors, keys, etc.). The warehouse, probably designed by architects Collard Louis and Quittard-Pinon Alfred, was constructed in the 1950s. Later, in 1967, new manufacturing workshops were built, some of which were constructed above the riverbed.
In 2010, the factory was acquired by Di-Hello, an aerial dance company, which sold it in 2020 to a private cultural entrepreneur. The space was renamed as the Center for Contemporary Artistic and Cultural Practices (CPACC) - La Croix de Iron.
