REAL-TIME DATA PAINTING
PRECIOUS NATURE is an evolving art form using real-time data. It morphs according to wind speed, wind direction, temperature and volumetric rain. The sparkling particles composing the map of Hong Kong are gracefully scattered away by the wind in an organic movement. The blue particles materialise the volumetric rain. This contextualised living artwork gives useful information about the weather to the audience.
NATURE PRESERVATION
The threats to our planet remind us that we must take care of it, that our nature deserves special attention and that it is the most precious jewel we have in our hands. PRECIOUS NATURE is a innovative digital artwork that presents our planet as a precious diamond that shimmers graciously. Our planet is composed of 100,000 glittery sparkles with gold and white shades that shimmer preciously.
CHAPTER 1 - THE ABSTRACT BEAUTY OF NATURE
We embark on a captivating journey around the world that brings us through 20 hand-picked locations. We successively travel to specific locations and, under our eyes, enfold beautiful sceneries that capture the abstract beauty of nature: what seems to be moving hand-made art masterpieces are actually video captures of a real natural sceneries.

PRECIOUS NATURE invites the audience on a journey around the world on three different scale levels: explore 20 preserved locations around the world, a contemplative view of the region of Hong Kong and its surroundings, a magical glide through the skyline of Hong Kong.

We then contemplate the map of Hong Kong that is formed by beautiful sparkles that are moved by real-time meteorological data.
CHAPTER 3 - GLIDING THROUGH THE SKYLINE OF HONG KONG
We are invited to fly slowly through the distinctive skyline of Hong Kong formed by shimmering particles that are beautifully scattered by the wind.

This artwork has been commissioned by HONG KONG OCEAN PARK MARRIOTT HOTEL in an iconic location. Making this artwork specific to Hong Kong, CITYSHAKE Innovation Studio presents the “Fragrant Harbour” through a visual interpretation of the skyline using particles as a precious jewel and highlights the uniqueness of the city.
AWARENESS & PUBLIC SPACE
In line with the long-term mission of CITYSHAKE to convey meaningful messages in public spaces and bring awareness, PRECIOUS NATURE is exposed on a 4x5m screen in the lobby of the Hong Kong Ocean Park Marriott Hotel, a public space where customers come and go or have a short rest. PRECIOUS NATURE is a innovative digital artwork that bringing awareness to public space.
